Walking into a gym for the first time can feel intimidating. At Alavanca Shawnessy, our Women's Jiu-Jitsu program is built to be the opposite. From day one, you'll train in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment where questions are encouraged and progress happens at your pace.

Our coaches and students are deeply invested in mental growth and physical fitness, helping you feel safe, capable, and confident as you learn something completely new.

We're excited to announce the start of our new Women's Jiu-Jitsu program, kicking off Tuesday, February 24th, from 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m at our Shawnessy location only.

This program is designed specifically for women ages 14+, with a welcoming, beginner-friendly environment focused on confidence, fitness, and personal growth. Whether you're brand new or returning to training, this is your chance to start something empowering alongside an encouraging community of women.

You won't be thrown into the deep end. Classes are structured so you can train with partners of similar size and strength, creating a comfortable learning experience where technique matters more than power.
